Ever since I was little I was interested in research and I want to research so many different things but the only things holding me back are money and mentorship. I come from a single-parent household, my mom works very hard but she came from a house where education was not important so she has a lot of debt herself and so she cannot help pay for my college for paying for her own. My current goal is to complete undergrad with a Biochemistry degree and enroll in an MD/Ph.D. program afterward. I love research and I want to use that research to help people clinically which is why I am choosing to do my best to help myself so that I could potentially help someone else.
